European T2 ethanol remains steady but supply questions linger

May 24, 2016 |

In the Netherlands, T2 ethanol prices are holding steady thanks to steady supply and demand as the market prepares for summer driving season that typically supports demand later in Q2. Summer driving season may be weaker this year, however, due to a late winter that has colder, wetter weather continuing that may keep drivers from hitting the road as in typical summers. The supply picture later in the year is still uncertain with Abengoa’s Rotterdam plant in bankruptcy and CropEnergies’ Ensus plant set to come online later this year.
