Fleischmann, Kaptur, Koninckx, McGinn to keynote Bioenergy 2016 meet-up in DC

In Washington, members of Congress Chuck Fleischmann (R-TN), Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), Congresswoman, Dupont’s Jan Koninckx and US Assistant Secretary of the Navy Dennis McGinn are among the keynote speakers announced by the US Department of Energy for its annual Bioenergy 2016 meeting, which will be held July 12-14 in Washington.

In addition, Bernardo Silva, Executive President, Brazilian Industrial Biotechnology Association and Renato Domith Godinho from Brazil’s  Ministry of Foreign Affairs will present a joint keynote on Brazil and opportunities therein.

Among the Day 1 plenary speakers will be BETO Director Jonathan Male, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy Reuben Sarkar, Matt Langholtz, Natural Resource & Environmental Economist, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Laurence Eaton, Research Economist, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Anellotech CEO David Sudolsky and Algae Biomass Organization Executive Director Matt Carr.

This year, the first Sustainable Transportation Summit will precede Bioenergy 2016. The Summit will include topical fireside chats, a showcases of cutting edge EERE initiatives, and Secretary of Energy Eugene Moniz will deliver a keynote.
