South Dakota promoting E30 with new 30 cent per gallon rebate scheme

July 7, 2016 |

In South Dakota, the farmers union is taking an innovative approach to get drivers to fill up with E30 by offering a 30-cent per gallon rebate on E30 purchased through its 30-For-30 campaign. A 30-For-30 event will take place on July 14 in the town of Mitchell. The farmers union wants to encourage people to support their local farming communities who supply corn to ethanol plants by ensuring they know that filling up with ethanol, especially higher blends of ethanol like E30, helps to create demand for local farmers.
