In Malaysia, the government is going ahead with B10 sales but the fuel will be sold at the pump side-by-side with B7 in certain circumstances following concerns that some vehicle manufacturers don’t approve of the higher blend for their engines. Mercedes Benz, Scania, Peugeot, UD Truck and Volvo Truck have all said that B10 is acceptable for use whereas BMW Malaysia, Isuzu, Toyota and Volkswagen say it is not. The temporary B10 standard is MS 2535:2013(P). The government aims to eventually mandate 20% biodiesel blending and is currently undertaking trials to ensure vehicle safety using the fuel.
