July 21, 2016 |

Across the Midwest, ethanol production continues to break records with the week of July 15 seeing an average of 1.029 million barrels per day, higher than the last record of 1.013 million barrels per day the week ending June 10. It was the eighth time production passed an average production of more than a million barrels per day, and all eight times happened since November 20, 2015. Ethanol producers have been investing in technologies to boost production capacity at existing facilities rather than build new ones.
