Brazilian biodiesel production slightly higher in June but still well below capacity

In Brazil, biodiesel production in June grew slightly over the previous month to 315,000 cubic meters, up from 309,000 cubic meters in May, far below the 594,000 cubic meters of installed production capacity nationwide. Of the total, 40% came from the Midwest region, 38% from the southern region and the rest split amongst the southeast, northeast and north. Total production for the year through June is 1.88 million cubic meters, about 2.3% lower than in 2015.
