Italy preparing to invest $450 million in inedible wheat-based ethanol plant

In Iran, Italian private sector is set to invest $450 million in a new ethanol facility in Amirabad Special Economic Zone that will use 1 million metric tons annually of inedible wheat as feedstock. The Italian investor has yet to be named but the contract for the investment will be signed soon. The exact project site has yet to be identified but that will take place soon when a delegation representing the investor arrives in the country.
