Z Energy’s $26 million biodiesel plant preparing for commercial run by month’s end

August 3, 2016 |

In New Zealand, the commissioning process for Z Energy’s $26 million tallow biodiesel facility has begun, with its first feedstock delivery having arrived on Tuesday and plans for commercial production on mark to begin by the end of the month. The 20 million liter per year facility will use about 12% of the country’s tallow production as feedstock, a byproduct that would have otherwise gone to biodiesel producers overseas or exported for soap and candle making.
