Biocom aims to produce 16,000 cubic meters of ethanol by October

In Angola, Biocom is expected to produce 16,000 cubic meters of ethanol during the crop year ending in October, up from 10,243 cubic meters produced during 2015. However, production to date is only 2,186 cubic meters. Total sugar production for the season is expected to reach 47,000 metric tons despite production reaching only 8,947 tons so far. Cogeneration is expected to produce 155,000 megawatts of power but has only reached 8,600MW. Most of the company’s products are sold directly into the domestic market.
