Pita Pit choose Vegware eco packaging to break into UK market
As Pita Pit serves fresh Mediterranean inspired pitas with sustainably sourced ingredients, the company wants food packaging that echoes their eco-friendly ethos.
With 600+ stores worldwide, the company has been expanding in the UK since 2013. In all their British stores, Pita Pit has been using a customized range of compostable Vegware packaging. Apart from the five stores that are already opened in the UK, a further twenty are set for the coming year.
“We’re a new brand in the UK and Vegware’s custom print service has been a fantastic marketing tool for us to help establish brand recognition,” explains Pita Pit.
Pita Pit uses a three bin system and a policy has been introduced for staff to talk with customers about compostable packaging. This helps to build a relationship with customers, communicate the company’s environmentally friendly ethos and keep recycling contamination low.
