HPB invests $6.5 million into fixing up former Blue Sun biodiesel facility

In Missouri, High Plains Bioenergy has invested $6.5 million in upgrading the former Blue Sun Biodiesel facility it bought in Saint Joseph, now known as HPB-St. Joe. Upgrades included $3.5 million in personal property and equipment while the remaining is for real property, upgrades that will be shown off at the official opening on Monday. The facility has qualified for various local tax incentives linked to its investments and creating a minimum number of high paying jobs.
