USDA Rural Energy for America Program supports five ethanol plants with grants

In Washington, of the more than $23 million in grants and $212 million in loan guarantees provided to agricultural producers and small businesses under the USDA’s Rural Energy for America Program (REAP), the following ethanol producers received funding:

Siouxland Energy Cooperative in Iowa received a $165,000 grant make energy efficiency improvements with the retrofitting of an ethanol refinery.

Lincolnland Agri-Energy in Illinois received a $77,984 grant to purchase and install a fermenter for ethanol production.

Chippewa Valley Ethanol Cooperative in Minnesota received a $250,000 grant to make energy efficiency improvements with the evaporator of an ethanol refinery.

Siouxland Ethanol in Nebraska received a $500,000 grant to purchase and install the equipment for the retrofiting of an ethanol facility.

Badger State Ethanol in Wisconsin received a $492,327 grant to purchase and install the equipment for the retrofiting of an ethanol facility.
