Zimbabwe energy regulator stocks up on ethanol to keep E15 through rainy season

October 26, 2016 |

In Zimbabwe, the country’s energy regulator has begun stocking up on ethanol supplies in case there are future challenges with the main produce Green Fuel so that the market doesn’t suffer from shocks as it has during the past year when production was limited due to the rainy season. The ethanol blend is back up at E15 after having fallen to E5 when supplies were unavailable last year. Production during the past three months has averaged 6 million liters per month.
