In Washington, the Environmental Protection Agency is proposing to deny several petitions requesting that EPA initiate a rulemaking process to reconsider or change its regulations that identify refiners and importers of gasoline and diesel fuel as the entities responsible for complying with the annual percentage standards adopted under the Renewable Fuel Standard program. EPA is providing an opportunity for the public to comment on the petitions we have received and on our proposed denial of the requests to initiate rulemaking. Written comments must be received on or before January 23, 2017.
