Kentucky filling station says no to biodiesel until it can stop its leak

December 7, 2016 |

In Kentucky, the Love’s Travel Stop filling station to blame for a fishkill in a nearby creek following the accidental release of about 5,000 gallons of biodiesel says it will stop supplying the fuel until it can sort out the problem. The decision was made following an inspection of the facility. The biodiesel storage tank that was the source of the problem has been pumped out. About 3,000 gallons of biodiesel were recovered when 20,000 gallons of water was pumped out of the creek.
