Japanese researchers develop biojet from recycled clothing

In Japan, Nippon Environment Design Co., Ltd. And Green Earth Institute Co., Ltd. have teamed in the manufacturing and development of the next generation biojet fuel. Known as the “BRING project”, cotton clothing will be collected from all over Japan and recycled using the RITE Bioprocess®, an innovative biotechnology that GEI will put into practical use to produce isobutanol and biojet with business partners. The RITE Bioprocess is a registered trademark of The Research Institute of Innovative Technology for The Earth.
