US ethanol production dips to 15.76B gallon annual rate

In Washington, according to EIA data as analyzed by the Renewable Fuels Association, US ethanol production averaged 1.036 million barrels per day (b/d)—or 43.51 million gallons daily. That is down 4,000 b/d from last week’s record high. The four-week average for ethanol production stood at 1.028 million b/d for an annualized rate of 15.76 billion gallons. Stocks of ethanol stood at 19.1 million barrels. That is a 0.1% decrease from last week.

Imports of ethanol remained nonexistent for the 17th straight week. Gasoline demand for the week averaged 389.3 million gallons (9.269 million barrels) daily. Refiner/blender input of ethanol averaged 918,000 b/d. Expressed as a percentage of daily gasoline demand, daily ethanol production was 11.18%.
