December 26, 2016 |

In Italy, Processi Innovativi – the subsidiary dedicated to technology development and industrial applications in the field of green chemistry, part of KT-Kinetics Technology (Maire Tecnimont Group) – and DP-Lubrificanti signed an agreement for the design of plants based on DP-Lubrificanti’s technology for the production of second-generation biodiesel. This technology can process used cooking oil, animal fats and by-products of the vegetable oil processing to produce Biodiesel in accordance with the most stringent international standards.

This agreement follows a previous one recently signed by the two companies, relevant to the installation of a pilot plant to convert Glycerol into Ethanol, based on a process developed by Processi Innovativi, ENEA, SINTEF and DTU (University of Copenhagen) under the European Research Project GRAIL. DP-Lubrificanti is a Biodiesel and Glycerol producer located in Aprilia, south of Rome.
