Karnataka inaugurates 25 Scania biodiesel buses in shift to B100

December 27, 2016 |

In India, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation have inaugurated 25 Scania buses that will run on 20% biodiesel in an effort to promote the use of locally-produced fuel in line with the country’s Make in India push. The buses can run on B100 but the transition to B100 will take place over time as the fleet is transitioned to modern buses that can run completely on biodiesel. A few months ago a trial was held using B100 that showed GHG emissions reductions of up to 70%.
