T2 ethanol prices soar to one-year high

In the Netherlands, T2 ethanol prices hit a one-year high on Friday thanks to low river levels on the Rhine that inhibits intra-European trade, rumored production stoppages due to maintenance despite January not having ideal weather conditions for shutdowns, and shrinking stocks. As in Brazil where sugar mills are favoring sugar production over ethanol due to high sugar prices, beet-based ethanol producers in Germany and France are thought to perhaps be doing the same thing.
