In Thailand, an ethanol tanker truck carrying 40,000 liters of ethanol en route to a depot in Bangkok’s Phra Khanong district exploded Wednesday night when the driver crashed into a ditch. The driver, who authorities believe fell asleep at the wheel, will be charged for the accident. Foam was sprayed on the fuel that had spread on the road but it took an hour for the firefighters to get the blaze under control. No injuries were reported.
