Freshman Florida congressman pushing bill to eliminate the EPA

January 31, 2017 |

In Washington, a freshman congressman from Florida is looking for co-sponsors to a bill that would completely eliminate the Environmental Protection Agency effective December 31, 2018, claiming that the costs of environmental compliance are too much of a burden on small businesses. Instead he wants environmental regulation to be decentralized to the states. When he first entered the state legislature in 2010, he sought to eliminate ethanol blending and finally achieved getting the bill passed in 2013.
