Trump assures ethanol industry it remains key to national energy strategy

In California, through a letter, President Donald Trump assured participants at the National Ethanol Conference in San Diego this week that ethanol remains an important part of the national energy strategy despite the appointment and confirmation of an EPA administrator who in the past has been a legal opponent of the Renewable Fuel Standard and anti-RFS leader Carl Icahn as a top advisor. He did however make it clear that his administration was working on the administrative burdens of the policy, but without giving details.
