March 13, 2017 |

In Iowa, following a train derailment in the northwestern part of the state where 20 cars carrying ethanol came off of the tracks early Friday morning, five of the cars carrying ethanol fell into a creek early Friday morning. Three of those cars remained in the creek three days later due to a snowstorm that kept crews from working. The fiery accident has so far not led to any contamination in the water following monitoring by the state’s natural resources department.
