Brazil February ethanol sales slipped ahead of start to new crush

In Brazil, February hydrous ethanol sales slipped nearly 7% on the month to 836.45 billion liters while anhydrous slipped around 5% to 816.80 million liters, with less than 40 million liters intended for export. More than 1 billion liters were intended for direct consumption. The country’s corn-based ethanol production is also on the rise with 10.41 million liters, of which two-third was hydrous ethanol. Total ethanol production for the April through December crush in 2016 was 10.41 million liters.
