RIN production down in February

In Washington, though D6 RIN production fell in February compared to January to 1.16 billion from 1.26 billion, D3 cellulosic biofuel RIN production jumped to 15.9 million in February from just 459,000 the month before. The ethanol portion of the D3 production was just 357,000 however, with the rest coming from renewable LNG and CNG. Advanced biofuel D4 RINs fell slightly to 5.3 million while January and February combined production for D4 biomass-based diesel was 293 million.
