Prairie Catalytic co-locating renewable ethyl acetate facility at ADM Columbus ethanol plant

March 30, 2017 |

In Ohio, Prairie Catalytic, a subsidiary of California-based Greenyug, is building equipment for a planned ethyl acetate facility co-located at ADM’s Columbus ethanol plant that should be ready for installation by the end of the year. Groundbreaking is expected for June while the facility should be commissioned during Q2 2018. The company seeks to become a disruptive player in the market, producing the solvent from renewable sources rather than fossil fuel and taking advantage of ADM’s established infrastructure to keep down shipping costs.
