Civil society appeals decision on Delaware ethanol transport hub case

In Delaware, the Delaware Audubon Society and the League of Women Voters of Delaware have filed an appeal in the state’s supreme court in an attempt to have a lower court ruling overturned. The civil society groups sought to block the development of a major ethanol transportation hub that would serve the East Coast they say goes against the environmental protections guaranteed by the Coastal Zone Industrial Control Board. The board had previously voted 5-1 in favor of the project.
