Karnataka caught short on biodiesel but solutions are on the way

April 10, 2017 |

In India, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation is expected to finalize in the next few days a new biodiesel supply contract after its previous supplier stopped deliveries in December, leaving the company’s 26 B100 and 1,500 B20 buses in the lurch. The fleet requires 8.5 million liters of biodiesel annually that is supplied from 17 depots around the state. The public transport agency is also working to collaborate with Indian Railways and others buying biodiesel in bulk regarding their arrangements.
