EPA sends biofuel blending proposals to OMB

In Washington, although volumes weren’t included in the notice, the Environmental Protection Agency said it had sent its 2017 ethanol blending and 2018 biodiesel blending proposals to the White House’s Office of Management and Budget. Doing so now could mean an on-time final ruling by November 30, a move that helped push up RIN prices in response. At the moment, the volumes proposed are expected for publication in June to give time for public comment before the final rule is made.
