CropEnergies sees record breaking revenue thanks to Ensus restart

May 17, 2017 |

In Germany, CropEnergies’ 2016/17 ethanol production hit 1,030,000 cu m, up 23% on the year, thanks in large part to restarting the Ensus ethanol plant in Wilton, UK last July. Although ethanol prices were lower, increased production led to an 11% increase in revenue to a record-breaking $890 million.  Despite increased ethanol demand expected for this year in line with higher blending mandates across Europe in the run up to 2020, the company expects prices to remain pressured by the existing high level of production capacity.
