June 29, 2017 |

In New York state, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties could follow in New York City’s footsteps and implement a 5% biofuel blend in heating oil by July 1, 2018 following a bill passed in the Assembly and the Senate. The legislation is awaiting the governor’s signature. NYC currently has a 2% bioheat blend but that will rise to 5% by year’s end. The National Biodiesel Board supported the local biofuels industry to get the legislation through.
