US ethanol exports soared 75% in May while biodiesel slumped

In Washington, the US Census Bureau says Brazil and Canada remained top imports of American ethanol in May with 54% of the 119.2 million gallons head to North-Northeast Brazil while 26% headed north of the border. Exports for the month were 75% higher on the year, while year-through-May exports were 24% higher on the year. Biodiesel exports, on the other hand, fell in by 29% May to 33,725 metric tons, nearly all of which went to Canada.
