EU and Argentina agree to extend until September 28 decision on biodiesel duties

In Switzerland, the European Union and Argentina informed the World Trade Organization’s Dispute Settlement Body on August 9 that they had mutually agreed to modify the reasonable period of time for the European Union to implement the recommendations and rulings of the DSB to September 28, 2017 from the original August 10.

Regarding the recommendations and rulings of the DSB relating to Council Implementing Regulation No. 1194/2013 of November 19, 2013 imposing a definitive anti-dumping duty and collecting definitively the provisional duty imposed on imports of biodiesel originating in Argentina and Indonesia, a review was initiated by the publication of a Notice in the Official Journal of the European Union on December 20, 2016. The interested parties were informed by the notice of the steps envisaged by the European Union in order to implement those recommendations and rulings of the DSB.
