UniFiji looking team with sugar industry on ethanol research

In Fiji, the Fiji Sugar Corporation may team up with UniFiji on researching ethanol production as part of the new Master’s in Renewable Energy Management (MREM) program. Biodiesel production as well as other potential renewable projects are also on the list for research and potential development with the program’s first intake of 12 students. The FSC has a new executive director who is bringing a wide range of international experience and perspective to the country’s sugar industry that is already showing results in production efficiency.
