Zimbabwe may revise ethanol laws so producers don’t have to JV with government

In Zimbabwe, private investors are put off by requirements to include government shareholding in ethanol investments so the Zimbabwe Energy Council is making a point to work with the Energy and Power Development Ministry in order to the relax the rules. The country is reliant on imports of fossil fuels for the majority of transportation fuel yet those importers aren’t required to operate as a joint venture with the government as ethanol producers are, the council pointed out.
