Brazilian ethanol prices for Northeast Asia are holding steady due to lack of storage

October 26, 2017 |

In Singapore, prices for Brazilian hydrous ethanol exports to northeast Asia are holding steady at around $580-600/cbm CFR for offers and $560 for buyers due to a lack of storage capacity available for new shipments. Lack of demand in the region is likely to continue for sometime, reducing the likelihood of purchases in the near-term. Brazilian mills have shifted towards more ethanol production in recent weeks, which may help to bring the price down closer to what the market is ready for.
