Evonik announces 4% price increase for biodiesel catalyst

In Germany, Evonik Performance Materials GmbH announced a global price increase for its Potassium Methylate solution alkoxide, a key catalyst for biodiesel productioneffective from November 1, 2017. All existing contracts will be honored.

Prices will be increased as follows: Potassium Methylate 32% Solution in Methanol (KM32) up to 4% The increase is unavoidable and necessary to offset the on-going escalation of regulatory and operating costs.
