November 1, 2017 |

In Brazil, the ANP says domestic consumption of hydrous ethanol jumped 16% from August to September to 1.31 billion liters, 93% of which was consumed in the center-south region where most flex-fuel cars are located. Petrobras continues to raise gasoline prices, making hydrous cheaper at the pump even when prices increase as well. In September, the gasoline parity level was just under 69%, lower than in August. Hydrous consumption for the first nine months of year was down 16%, however, due to lower gasoline prices earlier in the year.
