In Iowa, DowDuPont announced it is mothballing its cellulosic ethanol plant in Nevada as it searches for a strategic buyer to take the business over. Until then, it will run on a skeleton staff of 90 people. The company says it wants to reposition its role in the cellulosic biofuels industry, focusing on supplying enzymes and yeasts rather than as a producer. The company is spinning off three of its businesses in an effort to cut costs by $3 billion.
