Court challenge puts Delaware regional ethanol hub project on hold again

In Delaware, almost a year after the Coastal Zone Industrial Control Board approved PBF Energy’s proposed $7 million ethanol transshipping project to supply the East Coast, Delaware Superior Court must now hear an appeal by the Delaware Audubon Society and the League of Women Voters who sought to have the project stopped earlier this year but was shot down by the board. The civil society groups say the project goes against the Coastal Zone Act and will lead to increased traffic, pollution and potential accidents.
