European Commission could launch new anti-dumping investigation on Argentine biodiesel this month

November 9, 2017 |

In Belgium, EURACTIV says the investigation resulting from official complaint by the European biodiesel industry regarding the lowering of anti-dumping duties on Argentine biodiesel will likely be published in November in the Official Journal of the EU although it has 45 days to do so after receiving it. The complaint was lodged with the European Commission on November 3. The concern is the European market could quickly be flooded with Argentine biodiesel after vessels destined for the US were diverted to Europe following the US’s imposition of anti-dumping tariffs even higher than those Europe had in place since 2013.
