Biodiesel and cellulosic ethanol could see tax credit extenders by year’s end

In Washington, Bloomberg reports that it’s possible that a range of tax credit extenders for renewable energy including biodiesel and cellulosic ethanol could be included in “must pass” legislation that will be voted on before year’s end, but the committees responsible for writing the bills didn’t confirm the speculation. Renewable energy and oil companies are like are pushing for extension of a carbon capture tax credit as well that is set to expire when 75 million tons of credits are used.
