Superior Court judge sends Delaware ethanol transshipping hub permit back to board

In Delaware, a Superior Court judge has ruled the Coastal Zone Industrial Control Board must go back and review whether the permit granted for Delaware City Refinery’s proposed ethanol transshipping hub should be overturned under appeal. Delaware Audubon and League of Women Voters of Delaware tried to appeal the project’s permit, saying the project flies in the face of the Coastal Zone Act’s intention of reducing industrial traffic in the environmentally protected area, but were denied so they went to court to attempt to halt the project.
