Carbio says Argentina exported 600,000 tons of biodiesel to Europe September-mid-January

In Argentina, Reuters reports that Carbio says the country’s biodiesel industry jumped on the opportunity to boost exports to Europe as soon as the tariffs came down in September with as much as 600,000 metric tons of biodiesel shifted between September and mid-January. That euphoria could be short-lived, however, as Europe is set to launch an investigation into potential subsidization of the Argentine biodiesel industry that could lead to further trade protection in the European market.
