EPA administrator says RIN reform is the way forward on the RFS

In Washington, Reuters reports that the Environmental Protection Agency’s administrator said in an interview on Fox News that he believes Philadelphia Energy Solutions’ bankruptcy stems largely from required compliance with the Renewable Fuel Standard and as such is indication that the policy must be reformed. Rather than getting rid of ethanol blending as a whole, he says that in addition to more modest blending mandates, RIN reform is what’s required and that he’s spoken to Congress about it.
