New Brazilian corn ethanol association expects to supply bulk of new demand

In Brazil, Reuters reports that the new National Union for Corn Ethanol expects much of the additional ethanol required from RenovaBio will come future corn ethanol production rather than just expanding sugarcane-based ethanol. Whereas preparing and establishing new cane production to supply ethanol demand would cost four years, setting up corn production can happen much quicker with the association expecting as much as 4 billion liters could be produced in the next five years from 400 million liters currently.
