API wants EPA to keep fair playing field for all refiners and not favor smaller ones

In Washington, Platts reports that the American Petroleum Institute wrote the Environmental Protection Agency urging an even playing field for all refiners under the Renewable Fuels Standard and to not provide waivers for the two dozen smaller refiners who have applied for leniency, a move supported by several governors. The API has instead called for reforms across the board, saying the problems with the RFS are structural and can’t be remedied in a piecemeal fashion.
