In Bolivia, the Latin American Herald Tribune reports that the President has lined out $1.6 billion plan for sugarcane ethanol investments through 2025 with the intention of achieving 25% ethanol blending by that date. To achieve that goal, 155,000ha of cane will be planted by 2025 to produce 8.2 million liters of ethanol and 6.6 million liters of E85. An agreement to support the plan was signed last week by the government, business leaders in the Santa Cruz region and Bolivia’s Eastern Agricultural Chamber.
