Secretary of Agriculture thinks Trump may back away from RFS reform

In Washington, Reuters reports that the Secretary of Agriculture believes President Trump may back away from trying to broker an agreement between oil and corn states on reforming the Renewable Fuel Standard and instead leave the difficult negotiations to lawmakers themselves. The Environmental Protection Agency administrator has sent a list of potential options to the White House but the Trump administration may decide against executive action but the Secretary indicated there was hope a resolution could be made without having to cap RIN prices as suggested by Senator Ted Cruz.
